Who should attend the 2017 Annual Meeting & Conference?

The State Bar of Wisconsin annual conference brings together judges, lawyers, legal staff, other legal professionals, and legal vendors for multiple days of learning and networking. These events offer in-depth CLE programming for flexible learning opportunities and social activities.

What’s included in my registration fee?

Your 2017 Annual Meeting & Conference registration includes access to the plenary speaker sessions, CLE breakouts, Legal Expo, continental breakfasts on Thursday and Friday, conference breaks, all receptions, celebrations, parties, recreational activities, and the chance for entry into prize drawings. Registration also includes Conference course materials via flash drive and downloadable formats.

Luncheons

Luncheons are not included in your regular registration and must be separately selected and included with your tuition on your registration form. If you wish to attend one of the Thursday networking luncheons or the Friday closing plenary luncheon, a fee of $25 ($35 nonmembers) is required for each luncheon. Special seating will be available for registrants who choose to attend the closing plenary session without purchasing lunch.

Ultimate Pass Holders

State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE Ultimate Pass Gold holders will not be charged any tuition to attend the 2017 Annual Meeting & Conference. Ultimate Pass Silver holders receive half off of tuition (see tuition box). If you wish to attend any of the Thursday networking luncheons or the Friday closing plenary luncheon, a fee of $25 is required for each luncheon that UPass holders attend.

Conference Access

ALL attendees must register for the Conference and have a CONFERENCE name badge in order to access CLE sessions, meals, continental breakfasts, receptions and parties, and the Legal Expo. There are no exceptions to this rule.

What will I receive for Conference Materials?

Registrants will have access to course materials before the Conference in a downloadable format at wisbar.org. Course materials will also be distributed via flash drive to all tuition paying attendees at the event. Attendees registering as a Guest will not receive the materials.

Pre-registration deadline

Pre-registration is available until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. There will be on-site registration at the Glacier Canyon Convention Center, including Thursday’s and Friday’s luncheons (based on availability).

If you need special accommodations, please contact Toni Wood at (608) 250-6142 at least three weeks prior to the Conference date so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Attire

Casual business wear is appropriate for this event. Feel free to leave suits and ties at home.

CLE Credit Information

The main Conference (Thursday and Friday) will be submitted to the Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners for up to 11 CLE and 2.0 EPR credits. The Pre-Conference CLE session will be submitted for up to 2.0 CLE/EPR credits.

For applicable programs, Ethics/Professional Responsibility (EPR) credits also will be submitted for approval. Programs receiving EPR credits will be noted with an EPR icon in the program on within the event app.

Attendees who attend the Preconference CLE Session and the full conference, would be eligible for up to 13 CLE and 4.0 EPR Credits.

Only individuals registering as State Bar of Wisconsin members will be recorded for CLE credits. Please note: We will not be applying for MN or IL CLE for this event; however, attendees can self-report. Attendance verification forms will ONLY be completed onsite at each individual session.

Registration Cancellations

If you cancel your registration by 5:00 PM CT on June 8, 2017, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee and, if applicable, the fee for all separately ticketed events. We’re sorry, no refunds will be granted after that date. However, you may transfer the full value of your registration to another person after that date. No refunds will be issued for any missed sessions or events, including sessions missed due to travel delays or cancellations. Cancellations may be made by calling (800) 728-7788 or (608) 257-3838 during business hours.

Worried about missing a breakout session? Relax. We’ll be recording and webcasting select breakout sessions – and Conference attendees can attend the first two sets of webcasts for free!
